For those who love to cook to entertain, Chef Elfwing draws on his experience working in Australia and now, Senses in Hilton Kuala Lumpur, to create dishes that are intriguing and yet based on familiar flavours – food that readers will recognize and relate to.

His many fans will love this collection of more than 80 recipes, most of which are easy to follow, with some even basic ones, although a few require advance preparation and exclusive ingredients.

  • Chef Elfwing plates his dishes to show the food to their best advantage and the many inspiring colour photographs in this book reflect his passion.
  • Start with an Entrée, a Soup, a Beef main dish or something From Land & Sea, and end on a perfect note with a Snack, a Dessert and some Chocolates & Petit Fours.
  • 80 Australian and Malaysian inspired recipes.

Chef Elfwing grew up in Landskrona in South Sweden, a small coastal town known more for its frosty temperatures than its food.

His early interest in cooking was sparked by his family (his father was also a chef). Chef Elfwing has worked in restaurants and a winery in Australia – Perth and Adelaide – and did a stage at The Fat Duck. An innovative chef who is constantly researching and upgrading his culinary art, he is open to new ideas and loves unfussy, flavourful food although he is trained to present sophisticated food because of the demands of his guests.
